Deeper Dive into the Message from the Celebration Service
Have you ever left the celebration service thinking:
• I would really like to go deeper, or,
• I wish I could just sit and talk about this message and how it affects me.
Join an in-person and online group that will do just that. Every Sunday afternoon this Small Group will meet to discuss the Sunday morning message.
Please register for the Small Group online, to get added to the Small Group roster for communication and to get the Zoom link if you want to participate online.
If you are new to Unity of Bellevue and want to try a Small Group just drop in and join us in the library on Sundays at 12:30, starting on September 21st. When there is a conflict for the library and/or this time slot we will meet in the Friendship room over lunch. Look for the sign for the Small Group table.
Divine Audacity

Join Susan Sterling in a small group setting to engage with others for connection and a shared experience in discovery and growth using the concepts in this book: Divine Audacity: Dare to Be the Light of the World. In this, her new book, Martella-Whitsett makes the audacious claim that each of us can be "the light of the world" Jesus instructed his followers to be. Martella-Whitsett offers a path for living a deep and authentic life outside of the strictures of traditional religious categories. A refreshing approach, in essence, on how to be spiritual without being religious.
We need to jettison the idea of a God who is out there and above us. God is not a super-human who gives and takes, punishes and rewards. God does not require human suffering and repentance.
We truly find God when we go inside to connect with divine light, realize our oneness with God and others, and let our light shine in the world. Martella-Whitsett looks at what "divine light" is and how it is both audacious and normal to claim it for ourselves. Next she introduces us to 12 spiritual powers we can all develop and learn to use on a daily basis: faith, understanding, will, imagination, zeal power, love, wisdom, strength, order, release, and life itself. When we consciously shine our spiritual powers on ourselves, not only are our lives improved, but all of humanity can be enriched and transformed.

Games Group

Come connect with a fun group of people who love to play games together. We plan to meet on the 3rd Saturday of the month at 3pm at Unity of Bellevue. (October 18th at 4pm, UOB Library) Please register so we can notify you if or when the date changes. Room location dependent on rentals that might be scheduled for that day. Bring your favorite game and share with others.
