World Day of Prayer Service - Living in the Flow
6 pm in the Sanctuary
Join Silent Unity and the World-wide Unity Movement in prayer.
“We are living expressions of Divine light flowing forth into the world.”
Did you know that there is an everlasting Source within all of us? It is the only place from which lasting love, peace, harmony and joy can emerge, and when we unite in prayer, we become expressions of God flowing forth into the world.
Seventeen years ago, Unity created World Day of Prayer—held the second Thursday in September—as a global effort to uplift ourselves … our loved ones … our world in a shared prayer consciousness. Since that time, more than 15 million people have received prayer support through this sacred initiative.
This year’s event is Thursday, September 9, and the theme, “Living in the Flow,” reminds us that the Divine is within us, ever-present and active.
You can be a part of World Day of Prayer in several ways at Unity of Bellevue and through Silent Unity at www.worlddayofprayer.org:
1. Fill out a World Day of Prayer List and place it in our Unity of Bellevue Prayer Box.
2. Join us for a special Unity of Bellevue World Day of Prayer Service on September 9 at 6:00 pm in the sanctuary with Rev. Christina. This will be in lieu of our regular noon Silent Unity prayer service that day.
3. Download, fill out and return your online Prayer List from with the names of those you would like us to bless during a 24-hour prayer vigil in the Silent Unity Chapel on September 9.
4. Keep the World Day of Prayer momentum going all year long by sharing your on line Prayer Intention with Silent Unity. These intentions—symbolic of our Unity community working together to transform the world—will be included in a special ceremony as the newly renovated central courtyard fountains come alive at Unity Village.
5. Experience the dynamic and vibrant flow of open minds and hearts by joining with thousands of others in prayer on September 9. Join us in affirming throughout the day: We are living expressions of Divine light flowing forth into the world.
Come and pray with us on Unity’s World Day of Prayer!
